We have formed a family association as the direct descendants of Jens Kraft Vogelius Steenstrup and Anna Isidora Cathinca Bøggild.

Data on the family has been collected over the years and recorded in a comprehensive family directory.

Our record on ancestors goes back 5 generations from our parents without missing any link to 1774 and much further back from there.

The Steenstrup family has been living in the northern part of Jutland, Denmark for about four hundred years. The first and second forefather we can find in the direct male line is respectively Lord Mayor and member of the city council in Saeby, Jutland, the following four generations were all working as vicars in the northern part of Jutland, the next four generations owned big farms and estate in the same area.

We can trace the family lines to U.S.A. and Norway, we are most interested getting in connection with families that can add to our data base.

This home page is designed to be a link between people who are interested in the Steenstrup family, to improve our data base and certainly also to function as a tool for us all to meet and get to know each other.

From time to time we will update this page and list new events;

First event is the family reunion on Sunday, September 11 ; 2005 which will be held in Hosterkoeb outside Copenhagen. More information will come.
